This play really surprised me. Both of the Lear's and concept of love are different from me. Lear decided to make his relationship with his daughter defenct just because his youngest daughter didn't choose to flatter him. This father-daughter relationship was so weak. Moreover, the other two daughters were so cruel and evil. I would never treat my parents like they did. This reveals the terror of power scrambling among royalty.

Reflection to Macbeth
The play Macbeth gives me a lot of surprises. I can hardly believe that Shakespeare could have written such a tragedy full of regrets, guilt, anxiety, and greed. Lady Math is my favorite character in this play; her weird and greedy behavior impresses me, and controls the atmosphere in the play. It’s interesting that she isn’t the one who kills King Duncan; the ambivalence of Macbeth and the decisive Lady Macbeth made me believe Macbeth was going to be weak and Lady Macbeth was going to kill King Duncan. In the end of the play, the fact that Macdoff was cut from his mom early is an unexpected, and it still means he was born from his mom.
